PANTELIS THALASSINOS

Pantelis Thalassinos grew up in Chios. He first started playing the guitar at seven. Along with his brother they played 70’s rock music in small groups. In 1996 Pantelis Thalassinos and Giannis Nikolaou formed a band, the vocal duet “LATHREPIVATES”. After their breaking off, Pantelis started his solo career.

From then till now, he has released fourteen personal albums (i.e. “The waves of the night”, “Astranamata”, “Ena krimeno ah”(=a hidden sigh), “From Tilos to Thraki”, “Kaladari”, “Apo alla perivolia”, “O Megalexandros kai o kataramenos drakos ”(=Alexander the Great and the cursed dragon) and many others) and he has composed or participated in about fifty more, all of which (except for one or two) have been certified gold, platinum or twice platinum.

His songs have been sung by most of the Greek artist and also by foreign artists in Turkey, Israel, Lebanon like Muslum Gurses and Sezen Aksu.
He has worked with Mikis Theodorakis, Giannis Markopoulos, Chronis Aidonidis, Haris Alexiou, Giorgos Dalaras,Lefteris Papadopoulos, Maria Faradouri, Dimitra Galani, , Nikos Xidakis, and many more.

He considers quite important the cooperation he had with great musicians and lyrists both famous and not. He sang in many concerts with the “ESTOUDIADINA” orchestra of Nea Ionia, Volos and other orchestras and choirs in Greece and abroad and places like the Herodium, Athens Megaro Mousikis, Megaro Thessalonikis, Vasiliko theatre, Dion, Filippous, theatre of Lycabettous, theatro Vrahon, theatro Petras, Pallas ,S.E.F. , and many stadiums and concert halls. He has also sung in Cyprus, Turkey, Zurich, Geneva, Rome, Odessa, Stockholm and London. He has composed music for theatrical plays, for the cinema.tv series, commercials, and jingles for radio stations and song for other artists.
