"My name is Daniel Fernandez and I am a graduated chemist with a strong interest in plants and hydroponic crops. When I started my degree I became fascinated by the fact that plants could be grown without soil with the mere use of synthetic chemicals and that I could perfectly control the concentration and the nature of all the chemicals I gave to my plants. Perhaps the most incredible thing about hydroponics is not only that you can imitate the plant’s natural development environment but that you can improve it to obtain higher yields, better tasting crops, less water use and less run-off pollution. I honestly think that hydroponics are the true solution to world hunger and that the massive use of cheap hydroponic passive systems in third world countries -especially in those without a lot of water or arable soil – will mark the start of a new era for the world starving population."
Benim adım Daniel Fernandez. Kimya eğitimi aldım. Bitki ve hidrofonik (topraksız tarım) konularıyla ilgilenen bir kimyagerim.Kimya eğitimimin başlangıcında sentetik kimyasalların konsantrasyonlarını ayarlayarak topraksız bitki yetiştirebilecek olmam beni bu işe hayran kıldı... Hidrofonik hakkında belki de en inanılmaz şey, bitkinin doğal geliştirme ortamını taklit etmek değil, bu yöntemle daha yüksek verim, daha iyi lezzet, daha az su kullanımı ve daha az kirlilik sağlanmasıdır. Benim dürüstçe düşümcem şudur, dünyadaki açlık ve üçüncü dünya ülkelerindeki tarıma elverişli olduğu için yeni bir dönemin başlangıcına işarettir.
