Herneyse, benim tohumlarım, aşısız ağaçlardan. Tabii ki çocuklarımızın doğurgan olup olamayacağını bilemeyeceğimiz gibi bu tohumlarında verimli ağaç olup olamayacağını bilemeyiz.
Ben ağaçlarımı dikeceğim ve izleyeceğim. Zayıf ve verimsiz ürün veren fidanı kuvvetli ve çok veren fidandan aşılayacağım.

You can graft scions from any cultivar (Kanza, Lakota, Pawnee, and others) to any pecan seedling seedling rootstock.
Wichita, Mahan, Choctaw, and Burkett are cultivars that are becoming obsolete, and new orchards are considering other selections which are more disease resistant and produce better quality nuts. Wichita and Choctaw can still be profitable in some areas.Seedlings from Mahan may not be cold tolerant enough for northern Turkey, but grafts from my scions would work on Mahan seedlings.
Pecan seedlings can be initially grafted when the tree is as small as 1 centimeter in diameter up to when the trunk is 10 centimeters in diameter, or even larger if you graft limbs instead of the trunk.. One grafting techniques is required for the small trees and another for the larger trees. My book covers grafting, and has pictures..
There is a good chance that seedlings grown from the nuts I sent will produce decent quality nuts even without grafting. It is interesting to see what they produce. You could let some of your trees get large enough to see what the nuts look like and how much they produce. If the tree produces poor quality nuts, or is not productive enough, you could graft it to a known cultivar such as Kanza. Others you could graft when small.
My success rate for grafting averages about 75% or even better in good years. Your success rate may be lower until you gain experience. As a Mechanical Engineer, I think you would learn quickly.
