Step 1

Leave a white rose on the counter to dry out for two days (without giving it water). Drying out the rose will **** it absorb the blue color during the dyeing process.
Step 2

Cut a 1/4-inch slit into the base of your white rose stem.
Step 3

Pour blue food coloring dye into the stem cut.
Step 4

Seal the cut with a small piece of tape. Florist's tape (green) will conceal the cut, but you may use any tape you have handy (including Scotch tape).
Step 5

Leave to sit for 1-2 days. The color will gradually absorb into the rose petals, first appearing in blue splotches until they are consumed with the food coloring.
