Like many places in North America, we have a serious problem with Starlings. Here on North Vancouver Island they seem to have teamed up with murders of
crows to reek havoc on our fruit trees and forced our population of Flickers, Woodpeckers and smaller birds to dwindle to almost nothing. We tried everything to scare them away. CDs hanging in the cherry trees, an Owl mannequin we moved around the fence posts, bird netting the trees we could reach safely, even a BB pellet shot into the trees that they were Alfred Hitchcocking in.
Three years ago I read in an old 30 year old article about playing hawk sounds to keep out pesty birds of another kind, so I compiled a variety of song bird sound bytes and some owl, hawk and osprey sounds on my Mac, fed it into our stereo amplifier and out to our outdoor rock speakers in the garden/orchard. We play the sounds (about a 45 minute loop) first thing in the morning and again later in the day (or when a flock of those black devils do their fly by). We didn't have any problem with them for two years running. This year as a test, we didn't play the sounds. The crows and starlings returned and wiped out our entire cherry orchard in three days. So we know this works, probably because they don't like to come around into an active bird population that included birds of prey. Our neighbours don't complain about the sounds as it sounds like a song bird garden all the time and our guests enjoy the relaxing sound of song birds in our gardens. Plus this has attracted real bird populations to return (like flickers and towies) and sometimes you can't tell the MP3 in the garden from the real thing. Organic stereo if you will. The key is to start playing the Bird Tunes beginning about May 15 and continue through the fruit harvest. (or longer if you enjoy the sounds of the birds). A great successful way of safely getting rid of starlings without trapping, poisoning, shooting, loud noises, scare crows, scare owls or other natural or unnatural ways people use.

3 yıl çnce 30 yıllık bir makale okumuş. Bu makalede baykuş, şahin ve kartal seslerinin oldukça faydalı olduğu yazaılı imiş.
Mac (PC benzeri bilgisayar) ile ile Mp3 olarak bu esleri internetten bulmuş ve güzel bir kombinasyon yapmış.
Merkezi bir yerde mp3 çaları ve bahçe etrafına kablo çekerek (çeşitli yerlere hopörlerler) denemiş ve çok güzel sonuç almış. 45 dakika da bir bu sesleri bahçede yayınlamış.
Ani ve şok çözüm olarak öneriyor ve kesinlikle yöntem bu diyor. Kendisi 3 gün için de bu zararlılardan kurtulmuş.
Şahsen ben olayı çok beğendim..
